Our History

In 1963, Al Williams founded his nursery. He established his business after he saw the need for locally grown trees and shrubs in his landscaping business. Starting with only two acres and a few liners, Al’s nursery has evolved into one of the most productive Midwest wholesale nurseries.
Today, seventy years and more than six hundred acres later, Al’s dream is thriving. Situated on Arkansas’s Crowley’s Ridge, our nursery takes advantage of advanced drip irrigation systems as well as the area’s richest creek-bottom soil to guarantee all year-round growth.

Al Williams & Sons Nursery currently covers over 550 acres specializing in high-quality shade and ornamental trees, conifers, flowering shrubs and evergreens. Our tree planting crews are very careful about staking each individual species to ensure optimal structure; besides, those growing taller than six feet are machine dug before being put into wire baskets lined with treated burlap.

As we grow our business we want you to grow yours with us. In fact we welcome new customers to visit our farm on a daily basis so as they can see for themselves; what goes into producing quality nursery stock at its best.
